Assessments
At LiveWell Psychology, we offer a multitude of assessments, including:
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) – to evaluate the presence of and degree to which symptoms of attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity interfere with an individual’s daily life.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – to better understand an individual’s social communication, behavior patterns, and developmental history.
Psycho-Educational – to identify learning challenges, academic strengths, and areas where additional support may be needed.
During each assessment you can expect the following:
A detailed clinical interview to understand your background and history, as well as current symptoms and their impact on your daily life. This may involve gathering information from family members, primary care physicians, teachers, and/or medical specialists.
Using questionnaires and other assessment tools, which may be completed by the individual to gather different perspectives on symptoms, behavior, and daily functioning
Integration of findings to determine a diagnosis, if appropriate, and to develop personalized recommendations for treatment. Dr. Tomasula uses the assessment process to provide a comprehensive understanding of your strengths and needs, leading to effective intervention and support.
Assessments typically include an initial intake appointment, testing sessions (typically two-three 2-hour sessions), test interpretation, report writing, as well as a final consultation appointment where testing results and recommendations are reviewed. A written report is provided to you and/or legal guardian. Dr. Tomasula's methods yield a compassionate approach focused on real-life evaluation interpretations to create a plan for your continued success.
